Engine 47-1

An "old reliable" 1983 FMC pumper, this is our "quick attack" truck as well as being a good general-purpose fire engine. It's seen all sorts of calls, from brush fires to house fires and just about everything in between. Sadly, this engine no longer meets Bucks County requirements for a Fire Engine, so we are trying to raise the $350,000 it will take to replace this truck. This truck will remain in service until we can replace it.
Engine 47-1 has a 750 Gallon Per Minute Pump, two 1 1/2" pre-connects, a 3" preconnect, 1500' of 3" line, a full set of forestry firefighting equipment and a host of other tools on board. It's well-equipped for all kinds of local incidents. This truck still has a "tailboard" - the classic "ride on the back of the firetruck" position for firefighters, although we no longer are permitted to ride the tailboard.

TAC 47

Marine 47
(no picture, sorry)
Our boat gets out mostly in the summer time, and occasionally in the winter. The primary mission of the Marine unit is search and recovery of bodies in the Delaware River, although in the summer of 2004, we did deploy the marine to pursue and an extinguish a boat that had exploded and caught fire under the Milford-Upper Black Eddy Bridge. Marine 47 has even been to jobs as far away as Yardley, Pennsylvania during floods.
